The Bishop of Kensington has issued a message regarding Ministry and Training in the Diocese.

Diocese of London Ministry Portfolio
As many of you will be aware the Bishop of London has asked me to oversee the Ministry Portfolio for the London College of Bishops. This role is about providing strategic leadership in support of the Area Directors of Training and Development towards ensuring that the diocese continues to establish a clear and effective diocesan-wide approach to all aspects of clergy and lay training. This communication is to let you know that from 1st Jan 2010 I have now taken on direct responsibility of the Ministry Portfolio from Nick Mercer.
I will be working very closely with Neil Evans whose own role has developed further to being Director of Ministry Development (he will continue as Director of Training and Development in Willesden Area). Neil will also be Warden of Licensed Lay Ministers (Readers). In the first instance please refer to Neil on matters relating to the Ministry Portfolio.
I am particularly grateful to Nick Mercer who over six years has provided outstanding leadership to the development of the Ministry Portfolio. Nick will continue to serve as DDO and on the Board of St Mellitus College. As Vicar General to the London College of Bishops he will also provide a valuable point of intersection between a range of ministries that are essential to the delivery of the objectives of the London Challenge.
On most ministry issues the first point of contact will continue to be the Area Officers and attached is an updated list of Ministry Officers in the diocese of London.
