Ad clerum: The Bishop of Willesden

The Bishop of London sent out the following announcement today:

Dear Colleague,

The Bishop of Willesden

Following the Bishop of Willesden’s withdrawal from public ministry last November, I have agreed with Bishop Peter that he should now begin to resume his public duties in the Willesden and Stepney areas. I am grateful to those who have provided additional assistance during his absence.

Bishop Peter stands by his full and frank apology for the comments he made about the forthcoming Royal Wedding. He is fully focused on the Mission of the Diocese of London and I welcome his return.

With thanks for our partnership in the Gospel

The Rt Revd and Rt Hon Richard Chartres KCVO DD FSA
