Please pray for these parishes as they get involved in events to celebrate the Olympics.
Special Services
The first Sunday of the Games brings with it an whole host of special church services:
St Martin-in-the-Fields, St Peter’s, Eaton Square, St John the Evangelist, Hyde Park Crescent, St Luke’s, Isle of Dogs, St Michael’s and all Angels, Harrow Weald, St Philip’s, Earl’s Court, St John’s, West Ealing, St Ethelreda w St Clement, Fulham, Holy Trinity, Northwood and St Michael’s, Enfield are all having special Olympic-themed services to celebrate.
Many more churches will be incorporating the Olympics into their services, as the final event of their Children’s Holiday Clubs.

Community events
- St Aldhelm, Edmonton will be opening their church for the first time with a big screen, which will continue until 12 August.
- After their morning service, Holy Trinity, Northwood will be having a special picnic and community sports afternoon.
- St John’s, Hampton Wick will be distributing bottled water and hot dogs to spectators at the women’s road cycle race.
